I was galvanized by yoga in 2001 after experiencing PTSD from 9/11 in NYC.

Even as I began a casual practice, I could not help but notice the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits I began to cultivate. All of these gifts have left me devoted since then, and becoming a teacher seemed natural, as the education that I received from my own experience was something I knew should be shared.

Along with my 200hr certification, I went on to complete various teacher training certifications that reflect my specific interests, including both Restorative/Therapeutic and PreNatal Yoga.

My passion for travel pointed my directional force towards teaching yoga retreats internationally, as well as practicing and educating in yoga studios, gyms and ashrams all over the world.

For several years following, I continued to widen my lens while evolving my knowledge via various methodologies: practicing and rolling around on my own living room floor, sitting and listening at the feet of great masters, attending retreats and special workshops, and spending a good deal of time at Kripalu, located in the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts.

I have also studied extensively in India, and completed my Advanced Teacher Training while living in Dharamsala, nestled in the Himalayas. I subsequently also completed my Reiki Master Certification and soon thereafter, embarked upon my studies with H.H. the Dalai Lama.

Currently, I am based in New York City and am immersed in teaching yoga and Reiki healing.  I am also advancing my Ayurvedic Studies and offering Reiki Trainings. My passion for wellness broadly encompasses a holistic healing and lifestyle approach that I am happy to share with both students and teachers alike.

My teaching foundation is informed by many – including my fundamental teachers, to whom I am forever grateful: Yogi Sivadas in India; Erich Schiffmann in California; Leslie Kaminoff, Jillian Pransky, Carrie Parker-Gastelu and Liza Bertini, all based in the NYC area. Love and pranams to my students and teachers, everywhere!
